ADHD Coaching

Our ADHD coach works individually with teens, college students and adults with ADHD. During the coaching sessions, we specifically address executive function issues, while at the same time working with the client to progress through specific agendas.

For teens, adults and college students we frequently address:

  • Prioritization
  • Organizational structure and strategy-building for use at home, work and school
  • Learning style determination and study skill development
  • Attention training/mindfulness training
  • Social skill development or improvement
  • Communication skill development
  • Assistance with romantic relationships
  • Coaching as it relates to medication management

For parents of ADHD teens we also focus on:

  • Keeping a healthy perspective about your child’s diagnosis and challenges
  • Learning how to remain positive throughout the development process
  • Taking personal time to maintain your resilience

Our ADHD coach believes that the best way to manage ADHD, regardless of your age, is to use a "three-legged stool" approach:

  1. Medication management for optimal pharmacological treatment
  2. ADHD specific coaching for skill-development
  3. ADHD coaching and/or psycho-social interventions to optimize interpersonal interactions and relationships
